Our Emergency Department is open 24-hours a day, 7-days a week. It is staffed by highly trained physicians, nurses, therapists, and technologists, so you'll always get the care you need when you need it most. ICU Cobb Memorial Hospital has a 6-bed Intensive Care Unit. The Birthing Center Cobb Memorial Hospital is proud to offer family-centered labor, delivery, recovery and post-partum services. This includes labor and delivery (birthing) suites, and a full range of prenatal education programs designed to meet the needs of expecting families. Home visits by a nurse are provided to assist the new mother upon request. Swing Bed Services Our Swing Bed Program offers a much-needed service for patients who no longer require acute care services, but need skilled services to complete their recovery. The purpose is to assist individuals in improving their physical, emotional and social functioning through nursing and rehabilitative therapies. The goal of the Swing Bed Program is to assist the patient to achieve an optimum level of function and self-care through specialized therapies, education and retention of daily living activities. Physical Therapy Services Our Physical Therapy Services addresses both inpatients and outpatients. Our inpatient physical therapists work in conjunction with staff physicians, nursing teams, and occupational therapists to provide for safe and appropriate discharge from the hospital. Our outpatient physical therapists work in conjunction with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide effective treatment for a variety of impairments. Sleep Lab Recognizing and treating some sleep disorders may prevent more serious cardiovascular and neurological problems. One out of four people suffer from some sort of sleep disorder. Our goals include: proper diagnosis and treatment, comfort, timely reports, and same week service when possible. Same Day Surgery The hospital's outpatient surgical services allow for patients to have minimally invasive procedures and recover in the comfort of your own home. Naturally, some of the more invasive surgeries require an inpatient stay at the hospital. Wee Care Plus A Pediatric Rehabilitation Center changing the lives of families in the surrounding areas. The staff includes Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Physical Therapists. Their techniques and specialties all vary, but they have one thing in common...they all take the best care possible of the children they serve. They now serve stroke victims assisting in their speech, occupational, and physical therapy as well.
