Letter from Cobb Memorial Hospital Administrator, John Herron Welcome to Cobb Memorial Hospital's website. We're glad you chose our site. It is an honor to have you with us. Let me take this time to introduce who we are. Cobb Memorial Hospital strives to meet the needs of the local community. In doing so, care is continually being adjusted and improved. As we grow with the community, our services will grow to meet your needs. A 71-bed,full-service hospital that serves Franklin, Hart, and Madison counties and the surrounding areas. Fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), the hospital has over 95 doctors, 300 support staff members, and an assortment of programs designed to meet your needs. Our mission is to continuously improve the quality of primary, long-term and home care within our resource capabilities and to promote healthier lifestyles through education consistent with individual and community needs. Our goals are to become your hospital of choice for Franklin County and the surrounding areas, your employer of choice for the community, and a good community citizen. In meeting these goals we are constantly working with our employees, physicians, and volunteers to make Cobb Memorial Hospital your hospital. We are working with various programs designed to enhance our service to you…our patients, their families, local physicians, the community, fellow employees, and vendors. One of our new exciting programs is our new Outpatient Diagnostic Center. This is a facility adjoining Cobb Memorial Hospital. The new Cobb Memorial Hospital Outpatient Diagnostic Center allows residents of the community to receive quality care and testing without having to go through the normal wait associated with going to a hospital. Some of the features of the center are: new entrance with handicap accessibility, Diagnostic Imaging to include Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and mammography equipment, Laboratory Collection Areas, Sleep Study Lab, and Respiratory Therapy. Franklin County is a fantastic community with a rich heritage and proud tradition. As the hospital for this area, we want to be there for the community. When the need arises for additional physicians and services, we plan on adding at a level that will compliment the community nicely. As the first hospital within the Ty Cobb Healthcare System, we are a proud part of a 53-year old organization founded in Royston, Georgia by baseball's immortal Ty Cobb. Our corporate offices are located in Royston, Georgia and our various sister facilities are; Hart County Hospital, Brown Memorial Convalescent Center, Hartwell Health Care Center, Cobb Health Care Center, and The Gables.
